Finca Juan Martín – Colombia
Superior Gesha coffee from the farm Juan Martín, located in the town of Sotará in the Cauca district of southwestern Colombia. Sotará is also home to the active volcano of the same name. Although no eruptions have been recorded, Sotará still produces fumaroles and hot springs. Finca Juan Martín's coffee is therefore characterized by a volcanic soil full of micronutrients and a very special terroir.
Finca Juan Martín is part of Banexport, which places great emphasis on environmental protection, including forest conservation. Banexport also establishes formal jobs with fair wages, insurance and vacations to counteract the precarious conditions that coffee farmers usually work under.
The gesha variety is one of the most exclusive and sought-after coffee variety in the world with a very distinct, well-balanced floral and fruity flavor, but this coffee not only offers exciting top notes - it also has plenty of elegance, creaminess and body.
